Leftover Chicken? Tips on how to store it…

Thanksgiving & Christmas are those two family dinners where we enjoy abundant food, among them, the delicious cooked chicken. If you cooked the chicken but you couldn’t finish it, you can leave it in the fridge for two to three days. If it is still hot, you need to cool it down before storing it. If the leftover chicken is still hot, then you need to cool it down and the easiest way is to portion it out, or better still, cut it into pieces, lay the pieces on a tray or plate in one layer and as soon as it’s cold, place it in a bowl, covered with cling film or in a container with lid on in the fridge. If you want to store your chicken for longer, you can place your leftover chicken in the freezer, but you should never remove uncooked chicken from the freezer and then re-freeze without cooking.
