Tummy rumbling at the office? Some healthy snacks for you!

Have you ever experienced the feeling of tummy rumbling? So hungry that you couldn’t concentrate in your work? There are plenty of easy, healthy snacks you can make yourself that will satisfy your hunger.

Healthy snacks like crunchy chickpeas, chocolate, DIY energy bars, hard boiled eggs, a cup of yogurt, DIY chips, humus, peanut butter are those necessary food which will help you keeping high with energy and willing to efficiently do your own work.

We advice you to prepare yourself the crispy roasted chickpeas, it’s easy and you can pack in your lunchbox and eat them during your stay in the office. These are the ingredients you need to do this snack: One can of chickpeas, one and a half  tablespoons olive oil, salt, spices of your choice.

Follow these directions to prepare this healthy snack and addictive too:

Preheat oven to 400 F. Drain the can of chickpeas in a strainer and rinse with water. Shake and tap the strainer to rid of excess water. Lay paper towel on a baking sheet and spread them over.

crispy roasted chickpeas Use another paper towel to gently press and absorb the water on the beans. Roll the beans around with the paper towel to also remove the thin skin from any of the beans. Discard the skins and the paper towels. Drizzle the olive oil over the chickpeas. Roast for 30-40 minutes until the beans are a deep golden brown and crunchy.  Season with salt and spice blend.

 

Regarding healthy snacks, blueberry bars are really easy to prepare and can pack you with the energy needed during those long hours at the office and what’s most important, you need only: one and a half cups of rolled oats;  3/4 cup whole almonds; 1/2 cup dried blueberries; half a cup of  pistachios, 1/3 cup ground flax seed; 1/3 cup walnuts; 1/4 cup sunflower seeds; 1/3 cup  honey; 1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce and one cup of almond butter.

blueberry barFirstly, line a baking pan with wax paper. Meanwhile combine the first 7 ingredients in a large bowl and mix to combine. Add honey and apple sauce and mix to combine. Add almond butter to mixture and mix until combined. Place batter in prepared pan pressing down firmly with palm of hands. Allow pan to sit in freezer for approximately one hour. Remove pan from freezer. Lift singular slab from pan by lifting up on paper. Set slab down and gently peel paper away.  Slice slab diagonally.
